Writing Advice

Good writing skills and competence with a relevant citation style guide are imperative for theological students and professional scholars, but like any other skills, writing skills must be developed and honed through practice. To that end, several resources are provided here, particularly the Advice for Writers in Judeo-Christian Studies (Google Docs, HTML, PDF) and the Open Text Turabian (7th ed.) Template.

These resources are both works in progress. Consequently, comments identifying errors or suggesting improvements are welcome, but you will need to have a WordPress account to comment. If you do not already have one, you can sign up for free (with or without getting a blog). Please note, however, that this page will not function as a help forum. For assistance through this kind of medium, visitors are encouraged to visit a dedicated, academic writing forum site like the Essay Forum.
